For me, flared jeans are the epitome of fashion nostalgia. I can still remember the first pair of flared jeans I owned; I bought them in Topshop and wore them until I literally outgrew them. Seventies style is a huge trend this Spring / Summer and I’m loving it. If you’re looking for flared jeans, Zara is always a keen supporter of kick-flare denim and they have the longest leg lengths around for all us tall girls. I’ve also found a similar pair to the above in River Island, which I’ve linked above.

What do you guys think of flares? Or the 70’s trend in general? Let me know in the comment below.

Until next time,

Love how you’ve styled these with the vest, looks great!

Do you know how long their longest inseam is? Perfect length for me is at least 34″, most of my baggy flared jeans are at least 34, if not then they’re 35. Even my overalls, which are wicked baggy and super loose on me are 34″. I like the hems on my jeans and my overalls to drag on the ground a little, the destroyed and tattered hem look is really popular around here, my friends and I are actually having a contest on who’s jeans will get the most tattered in a 2 months, I’m winning because of my overalls, I practically live in those suckers!

Amy, even when it rains, it sucks that pant legs get soaked as the water creeps up the denim, but it also lengthens and stretches the denim so that they’re even longer on me. My boyfriend’s brother asked me why that I buy all of my pants super long, I think it makes my legs look longer. My heel on my shoes won’t stop getting caught in my frayed, tattered and dragging hems, I was so humiliated on a blind date a couple weeks back when I tripped over my own baggy overalls in front of him! Why overalls on a date, you ask? Because I wanted him to know that this is how I normally dress. I can’t help it that my overalls are so big!

Plus, he told me that he wears overalls also sometimes. I have a thing for men in really loose overalls, just like I have a thing for wearing wicked baggy overalls and super loose Bell bottom jeans. I wear mostly Converse sneakers with my overalls, my hems tend to hide my feet underneath the wide leg opening, so my hems just scuff along the ground when I walk in them. I also have to constantly hitch my pant legs up, even though it doesn’t do any good because they’re STILL wicked long after doing that!
