As a blogger and fashion writer I’m constantly on fashion websites for work which often means I order so most of my own purchases online too – and yes, I get quite a lot as gifts which are also sent to me. While being handed parcels of clothes from my postman is great, I often actually miss going on a shopping spree with company – in a real-life shop – from time to time. As you’ll know from my previous post, I had a blissful shopping and spa trip with a friend last weekend in Athlone Towncentre and the Sheraton Athlone Hotel (see that post here).
Here is what I bought….
Aren’t these amazing? I’m so in love with them! I had been deliberating on whether or not to order these online for a few weeks as I had also been looking at a very similar, albeit more expensive, pair by Schutz. One I tried them on in Athlone Towncentre my mind was made up. I can’t wait to wear them.
Camisoles are always great to have, especially for layering under blazers. I loved the style of this and especially like how the straps broadened on the shoulders. A well fitting cami can be hard to find but this fitted me perfectly.
I love high-waisted shorts but they aren’t that easy to wear (especially when they’re very short). I love the super thick material of these and they’re really structured so I feel like they aren’t going to move, which is a neccessity for short-shorts!
Whenever I go on a shopping trip I’ll always have a think about what I want and need beforehand and this trip I was really hoping to get more tops. I was so happy with this one, it’s such a nice fit and I love the material. It could also easily go from day-to-night which is always a huge plus for me. I actually went down a nice with this and got a size 6 as I liked the more fitted look (and I have so many oversized tops already). My top tip is always try going up or down a size if a top just doesn’t look right on you; it’s not the size that matters it’s the fit.
Zara Striped Tee
One of my favourites from the lot and it cost €9.95. I love striped tees and this is the absolute perfect fit! I know I’ll wear it loads.
H&M Lingerie Set
I’m obsessed with lace triangle bras and I particularly loved the thick laced straps on this style. I couldn’t leave it behind and it was really affordable, it was less than €20 for the two.
Topshop Casual Top
My friend picked this up for me knowing I would like and I was actually wearing the white version at the time funnily enough. The quality isn’t great to be honest as my white one hasn’t lasted well but I ended up buying the grey regardless. It was only €20 and it’s a really good basic to have.
I love delicate jewellery so I picked up tow of these bracelets from Topshop and wore them straight away.
When I first picked this up my friend thought it looked like something I would never wear, and I wasn’t really sure I would like it but as I was trying on other items anyway I gave it ago. And I absolutely loved it on! It’ll be perfect for summer too.
I promised myself this will be that last sleeveless blazer / coat I buy! I have way too many but I loved the cut of this style. I have a light grey one already but I actually don’t really wear it as it’s too big for me and I don’t like how it fits so I told myself I’ll sell it on Depop to justify getting this one. I love how this looks on.
H&M Structured Sweater
I love this piece and it was really affordable. I really like an oversized, boxy style and it’s so comfortable.
I actually didn’t purchase this bikini in Athlone Towncentre but I did wear it over the weekend to the pool in the Sheraton. I thought I would share it with you regardless as there was the same style in River Island in Athlone but in really nice coral / pink shade.
Until next time,
