Places To Stay in Galway – Radisson Blu

Places to stay in Galway (1 of 1)

A few months ago I stayed in the Radisson Blu in Galway with a friend of mine and fellow blogger Anouska and we also met up with another blogger pal Erika for dinner that evening. Being from Galway, albeit over an hour from the city, I get a lot of mails from you guys about where I would recommend to stay or eat in Galway. As part of my travel section I really want to share more places around Ireland with you guys and I’m going to also work on a Galway section where I will feature my favourite restaurants, hotels and places to visit. I thought the Radisson would be the perfect place to start.

The location of the Radisson is really great, and as you can see from the above picture, the sunrise view is amazing! There’s an outdoor terrace which overlooks the same view as my room had (above) and it really is such a beautiful view. The Radisson Blu is renowned for being the place to visit during Race Week, Galway’s biggest festival during the summer, so if you do visit be sure to stay in the Radisson and enjoy a cocktail on the terrace. We had dinner in the in the Marinas restaurant which was so nice, we actually all ordered the exact same thing, a spinach and ricotta tortellini which is one of my all time favourite dishes – and it didn’t disappoint. You can take a look at the menu here.

Unfortunately I had to rush off in the morning (not before ordering room service of course), so I couldn’t make it to the spa, however Anouska was booked in for a facial and massage which she later told me all about. It sounded so amazing I decided to book myself in two weeks ago. I had the Elemis Tri-Enzyme resurfacing facial and an Elemis deep tissue back, neck and shoulders massage, they were both amazing. So amazing, that I’ve purchased the Elemis Pro Collagen cleanser. I had a facial using Elemis before while staying in the Radisson Blu in Cork during the summer and I really loved all of the products they use. I actually didn’t realise you could purchase Elemis products in Galway but the Spirit One spa at the Radisson actually sells them and they have some really nice Christmas gift sets at the moment too.
