With Spring in full swing it’s the perfect time to update our wardrobes. This season I’m trying to shop smarter and make considered purchases. I’m also considering my holiday wardrobe for an upcoming holiday to Italy. I for one have been guilty of over-purchasing and over-packing ahead of holidays far too many times in the past. This year however, I’m aiming to pick up a few key Summer pieces that’ll I’ll get loads of wear out of both home and away.
I think dresses are perfect for holidays as they’re so comfortable for travelling, light to pack, and can be easily thrown over bikinis. I had been eyeing up a beautiful dress from Rahi on Shopbop, and now that Shopbop have extended their sale (yay!) – I couldn’t resist any longer and swiftly added this dress to my shopping cart. I can’t wait for it to arrive – Shopbop delivery is super fast so I should have it within the next couple of days. I also really love Mango as they always have really nice light and breezy pieces for spring. They have some beautiful floral pieces online at the moment.
Last summer I picked up a wicker bag and it was by far one of my favourite and most used purchases of the summer. I choose a round style from Topshop but I would also love a square or basket style one this year. Zara have a great collection at the moment included loads of coloured and seashell embellished styles which I adore. Check them out here. If you did wish to invest in high quality accessories, Hat Attack on Shopbop have a huge collection of wicker bags and sun hats. Check them out here.
I have to admit I find it hard to find good swimwear on the highstreet. I’m quite long in the body so I find I need to size up in a lot of swimsuit styles which means the fit isn’t quite right in other areas. I’m considering investing in some more swimwear from Maaji. I have a bikini from Maaji that I got from Shopbop last year and I adore it. It’s by far the best quality swimwear I’ve ever owned. What I also love about Maaji is that their swimwear are reversible, so you’re essentially getting two looks for the cost of one. Check out the collection here.
